Red cabbage – Prazeno rdece zelje


1 medium red cabbage
4 tablespoons butter or oleo
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup hot water
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon vinegar


Shred cabbage. Melt oleo in large skillet. Add flour and brown slightly. Add sugar, shredded cabbage, hot water, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds. Simmer gently for one hour. Add vinegar last 15 minutes of cooking time.
