Mixed vegetable – Sara


50 dag smoked meat (e.g. ribs or off-cuts)
6 cups water
4 tablespoons mild vinager
salt to taste
some thyme
2 bay leafs
parsley root, shredded
celery root, cut in cubes
1 leek, cut in cubes
1 onion, cut in 4 pieces
1 yellow kohlrabi, cut in cubes
30 dag yellow or red carrots
1 small kale, shreded
50 dag potatoes, cut in cubes
sour horse radish to taste 


Clean and wash the vegetable. Boil in lower heat meat, spices and vinager for one hour, add the vegetables. Boil the mixture 25 minutes, add the potatoes and salt. Cook until all the vegetable is soft, but still compact. The one-course dish should be thick. Serve with sour horse redish.
